(A) Tempered glass is a type of glass that is manufacturing process where it is reheating just below the melting point and then suddenly cooling it. This process makes the Tempered glass much stronger and safer than standard glass and if it does break it will just shatter into small pebble like pieces, without having sharp edges. Tempered is the only type of glass that we use in our doors. The tempered glass panels can not be re cut after they have been tempered.

Wood-doors.net is your information source for wood doors on the internet. Wooden doors are manufactured with a variety of different wood species, available in many styles and built in almost any size you can imagine. Whether interior or exterior, closet or bedroom, cafe or bifold; when there is new construction or a remodeling project and the plan calls for function, durability, and beauty, wood is what you need. Wood expands, contracts, and breathes, wood is alive!
Wooden doors not only make a statement themselves but also have a big impact on their surroundings. Wood doors add value to your home as it is probably the first visual impact people will see. Take a moment to look and see the ramifications a door has in the big picture of your overall decorating scheme.
Hardwood is a description given to wood from deciduous broad- leafed trees, giving no reference to the actual hardness of the wood. Softwood describes wood produced from needle and/or cone bearing trees.
Many decisions must be made when selecting a wooden door. For instance, when you are going to be painting an interior door you will want to use a pine or poplar type of wood because there is no reason to purchase the more costly wood species as the grain will be covered up with paint. When you choose to stain look for distinctive grain pattern in the wood, such as ash, hickory, cherry, or walnut. If the wood door will be used in an exterior application white oak known for being strong hard and resistant to decay, or mahogany due to the tight grain and high oil content, are excellent choices. Style choices are numerous, raised panel, flat panel, and wood doors with glass are just a few examples.
No one type of wood species is right or wrong, each type of wood has its own characteristics and may be more suitable for use in certain situations or conditions. Research the composition and traits of each wood type to get the best results with your wood door application.

(A) A dutch door is essentially two horizontal door halves, with the top and bottom halves operating independently from each other. You can close the bottom for some privacy, while leaving the top open, allowing fresh air into the room and enabling you to have a conversation with someone on the other side of the door. Dutch doors also make a great baby gate, and can be used for a nursery or play room door. When the top and bottom are locked
together, the two sections work as one, like a standard door. The dutch door originated in the Netherlands in the early 1600’s.
